NEC TH7102W Thermal Camera
Erstellt: 2021-12-31 / GeƤndert: 2021-12-31 / REV 01
The NEC TH7102W is a early 2000s thermal camera with fluid frame rate (up to 60 fps).
It's equipped with a motor driven focus and a uncooled microbolometer. Video output via RCA (FBAS/Composite) or proprietary connector (S-Video) is available. Storage is provided with a CF card slot.
Power Supply
An off-the-shelf JVC camcorder battery or an external DC source can be used. I've measured following characteristics on the battery port:
Parameter | Symbol | Value |
---|---|---|
Nominal Voltage | \( U_\mathrm{N} \) | \( 7.2~\mathrm{V} \) |
Current Draw, Typ. | \( I_\mathrm{N} \) | \( 450~\mathrm{mA} \) |
Cirremt Draw, Peak | \( I_\mathrm{pk} \) | \( 3~\mathrm{A} \) |
Pinout, frontal view on battery port:
+------------------------------ Pin 1 |= <--- +7.2 V | | | Pin 2 |- | Pin 3 |- <--- 10 kOhm NTC to 0 V | (oder fixed resistor) Pin 4 |- | | | Pin 5 |= <--- 0 V +------------------------------ The camera doesn't power up without Pin 3.
